Catching Up With Correnti: Our Summer Highlights and Future Plans
As the summer season is in full swing, we at Correnti decided to keep things light this month by catching up with our amazing team. From vacations to personal growth to exciting new projects, our team has been making the most of the summer—and we thought it would be fun to share some of the team’s highlights from the summer and anticipations for the rest of the year with you.
Here's a glimpse into the lives of the Correnti team and what we’re looking forward to:
Question 1: What Has Been the Highlight of Your Summer So Far—Or What Else Are You Looking Forward to?
1. Michele: Summer in Portsmouth, NH, always feels fleeting, but I have made the most of it so far. My highlight was when my friend from Baltimore came to visit. We had such a quintessential New England summer relaxing on the beach, visiting the local ice cream shops, going for sunset bike rides, having drinks on the water, driving up to the lakes region, and sailing in Portland—I couldn’t have asked for a better stay-cation.
2. Alli: This summer has been filled with so many wonderful memories! It started with my husband and I’s annual roadtrip down to Florida to spend time with his side of our family–and of course we brought our pup, Pig, along for the adventure! We always dedicate a month to spend down there, and it’s such a refreshing getaway for us.
Now back home, I’ve spent lots of time at the beautiful Delaware beaches where I live and as you read this, I’m enjoying a long weekend with my college girlfriends in Cape Cod. This season has been a much-needed blend of relaxation and adventure, and I’m looking forward to more fun in the sun as the summer continues!
3. Gabriella: This summer has brought many joyous firsts for our family, as my almost 3-year-old participates in all the fun, traditional activities for the first time as a ‘big kid’ (his words, not mine!). While it’s hard to sum up a singular “top moment,” a few notable moments include watching the 4th of July fireworks, watching him learn to swim, and cheering for our beloved Orioles together. Outside of watching my son live his best toddler life, I consider the best part of summer to be the change of pace. Inevitably, when late winter-early spring rolls around every year, I crave the long, warm evenings and slower schedule accompanying the summer months. This period of slowness is essential for me to refuel for the rest of the year.
Question 2: What Project Are You Most Enjoying Right Now?
1. Michele: We recently started with a client who had been badly burned by more than one marketing agency before working with us. Our team is really enjoying learning about their business, what makes them different, and strategizing on how to best develop and execute a marketing plan to achieve their goals. I find it very rewarding to show them that our team is not only honest, but we deliver on what we promise.
2. Alli: I’m really enjoying getting new clients up and running with our improved social media management packages! Earlier this year, we debuted newly structured social packages that offer a bit more flexibility and opportunity for clients and it’s been fantastic to connect with clients in this new way. These packages allow us to tailor our approach to each client’s unique needs and goals, making the process more dynamic and personalized. Seeing our clients thrive and engage more effectively with both us and their ideal clients has been incredibly rewarding!
3. Gabriella: I’m currently loving the coaching sessions I’m working on with the team. Seeing businesses and professionals invest in this service to set themselves apart and prepare for future success is inspiring. There's also something extra special about clients choosing to focus on coaching during the summer when many people are winding down. We’re always excited to help our clients discover new ways to ensure future success, and we hope that this investment during the summer will lead to a very productive fall!
Question 3: Have You Tried Anything New This Summer?
1. Michele: I went on my first overnight backpacking trip to a gorgeous alpine pond in Maine! The hike was challenging, but I loved the experience overall. I enjoy trying new things, especially when it involves type 2 fun!
2. Alli: This spring into summer, my husband and I decided to cancel our gym memberships and create our own makeshift gym in our garage. One day, we realized that the cost of our membership would essentially pay for some starter equipment, and we went for it! It’s been a great addition to our daily routine and a wonderful way to spend time together.
3. Gabriella: I have tried cultivating a culture of rest within myself this summer—which is new for me! Often, I am my own undoing, as I feel like I have to be busy and going full force every waking hour. Add having a toddler to that, and finding a balance between productivity and rest has been a challenge. However, over the last few months, I have highly prioritized spending at least one full day a week in rest mode to both recharge and spend intentional time with my family. At first, forcing myself to stop the hustle and bustle felt unnatural. In fact, I felt guilty and stressed because I was not totally “productive” every hour of every day. However, I've found so much joy in doing things for myself and for fun, like making a big Sunday dinner for my family and reading. This boundary in my life has been so helpful, and I plan to keep this routine for the rest of the year as well.
Question 4: What’s Something You’re Doing For Others/Your Community Right Now?
1. Michele: I’ve recently become more involved with the Marketing Committees of two local Portsmouth nonprofits, the Prescott Park Arts Festival, which provides financially accessible, high-quality music and art performances at Prescott Park in Portsmouth, NH, and Soul Models, an after-school program empowering girls to discover their authentic selves as they become mindful, confident, creative, and engaged leaders. It’s been really gratifying to help both these nonprofits and support their missions. I’m currently feeling energized in helping Soul Model plan and improve their annual SO(ul) Powerful fundraiser event coming up this October!
2. Alli: During the summer, I (luckily!) get to spend a lot more time with my family, which is very special to me. I happen to be my family’s resident interior designer, so one of the bigger things I’ve been helping with this summer is designing the homes of a few family members who have moved this year. Even though it’s just a passion of mine, it’s fun to help bring their visions to life and create beautiful spaces for them to enjoy. It’s been a rewarding way to give back to my loved ones and make their homes feel even more special!
3. Gabriella: I am the eldest of 6 siblings, and earlier this year, I felt like I wasn’t close enough to one of my youngest brothers and have sought opportunities to build a stronger relationship with him. I’ve tried intentionally showing up for him and showing genuine interest in what’s going on in his world. From attending his basketball and baseball games, having him over more often, and including him in the events typically reserved for the older siblings, I have been so blessed by this investment of time and energy. It’s been such a joy to get to know my brother in a new light, especially when considering it’s been years since we last lived under the same roof.
Question 5: What Are You Most Looking Forward to This Fall?
1. Michele: The fall is always an exciting time at Correnti! We have a few branding projects wrapping up, which means we get to launch some new and exciting businesses and rebrands. The fall always brings an influx of new clients and projects, as companies feel a renewed sense of energy after the relaxing summertime. I also enjoy getting back into the swing of networking and guesting at other ProVisors regions since I like to tighten my calendar in the summer to make time to rest.
2. Alli: I’m really looking forward to the fall season, which happens to be my favorite time of year! The crisp air, fall foliage, and cozy atmosphere always bring a sense of excitement as we build towards the holidays. Additionally, Correnti Marketing is having another one of our in-person meetups where we’ll collaborate on client projects and brainstorm and plan internally for the coming year. These sessions are energizing as we come together to share ideas and set our vision for the future. We have an incredible team of hardworking women that never cease to amaze me!
3. Gabriella: This fall, I’m looking forward to collaborating with the team on several exciting new projects and working with our clients to close out their annual goals. Plus, all the seasonal fall goodness! I’m a real sucker for apple picking, pumpkin patches, and the critically acclaimed film (at least to me), “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.”
